The Sapo table was designed as a modernist piece to make it stand out in the interior, and it does. The use of concrete and glass gives the table a strong minimalist yet brutalist look.
The foot consists of 1 piece of concrete. The glass table top is held to the concrete block with only 2 bolts. The top is not symmetrical in the middle, which gives you this floating minimalist look.
The 1970s Sapo table is a signature model for the Italian design team Sergio and Giorgio Saporiti and is a symbol of their smooth, brutalist work.
