The Ferrari 208 GTB Turbo is a supercharged V8 Turbo version of the Ferrari 208 GTB, presented in 1980. It is the two-seater coupé variant of the 308 GTB/GTS, intended exclusively for the Italian market.
It is the first turbo road car in Ferrari history.
Thanks to turbocharging, it became the segment leader again in 1982. It is much more powerful, more agile, lighter, significantly less fuel efficient than the competition and much faster in acceleration than the 308 GTB developed for the rest of the world
this 208 GTB Turbo, with its beautiful V8 sound, has lost none of its beauty, the work of Pininfarina, the famous Italian coachbuilder. It remains a particularly radical machine, very efficient and powerful with a spirited driving behavior that distinguishes itself sportily from the 208 and the 308 GTB/GTS in particular by a row of satin black slats on the hood, NACA air intakes on the sides, a Racing front bumper, sports damping, a lowered chassis, a segmented and ventilated rear bumper and a spoiler.
Finally, the advantages of the V8 turbo engine are its high reliability and very reasonable maintenance costs thanks to lateral distribution.
The technology will then be applied to the Ferrari 288 GTO and especially to the famous F40.
The car has a good 60,000 km and is maniacally maintained and completely original. In recent years, maintenance costs of €25,000 have been incurred on the car. This must be fully demonstrated with a report and invoices.
Very rare car, given its low production number of only 250 units worldwide.
