A timeless classic!
In 1973, Knoll introduced The Platner Executive Office Collection. The thin profile desk had a round oak outline with a black leather writing surface, supported by polished chrome legs and extended legs.
Platner outlined the definition of a "classic" as being, something that you accept as it is every time you look at it and see no way to improve it. This is definitely the Warren Platner executive office.
Warren Platner attended Cornell University, graduating in 1941 with a degree in architecture. He went on to collaborate with legendary architects Raymond Loewy, Eero Saarinen and IM Pei before opening his own architectural practice. Platner made notable architectural contributions throughout his career, including the Georg Jensen Design Center and the Windows on the World restaurant at the World Trade Center, both in New York City.
