The Tulip stools were designed by Eero Saarinen for Knoll International.
Saarinen was bothered by a jumble of legs that could always be seen under a dining table and decided to design a chair that consisted of 1 whole and only showed 1 leg.
It became a very successful design with the general public & is now considered a true icon.
The poufs are rarely for sale on the market, and are ideal to place separately in the interior and thus create extra seats at the dining table if necessary.
The foot is known for its flowing shape & is a model of 1950s modernism.
The chair leg is made of cast aluminum and the cushions have been reupholstered in the original Knoll upholstery.
The Knoll poufs date from the 1990s.
