The Tulip Chair was designed in 1956 by Eero Saarinen for Knoll International.
Saarinen was bothered by a jumble of legs that could always be seen under a dining table and decided to design a chair that consisted of 1 whole and only showed 1 leg.
It became a very successful design with the general public & is now considered a true icon.
The shells of the chairs are fully upholstered and are in beautiful condition, without damage!
This is the most luxurious and comfortable version that can be ordered from Knoll.
One chair already costs more than €3200 new.
Thanks to the upholstered shell, this chair offers excellent comfort.
It is a true timeless classic and unique in its shape.
The tulip chair creates simplicity in the interior & has a warm and cozy appearance due to its shape.
After more than 50 years, this chair is still one of the best-selling designer chairs.
The foot is known for its flowing shape & is a model of 1950s modernism.
The chair leg is made of cast aluminum.
