Johannes Andersen studied to be a cabinet maker and was certified for this in 1922. In the mid-1930s, when the popularity of Danish Modern was sweeping the world, he opened his own studio.
He also continued to collaborate with other design studios, including CFC Silkeborg in Denmark and Trensum in Sweden.
Andersen designed a unique collection of furniture but became best known for his coffee tables. He experimented with all kinds of unique shapes and techniques.
