Gae Aulenti was an Italian architect.
She designed the lamp in such a way that it was adjustable in height by working with it
telescopic mechanism.
The lamp was innovative in terms of creating diffuse light.
The white shade consists of methacrylate.
The shape of the hood reminds many people of the wings of a bat.
& hence the name "Pipistrello" which is equivalent to "bat" in Italian.
The lamp is incredibly popular and gives a playful yet very modern look to the interior.
This white Pipistrello lamp is in good vintage condition. It is very difficult to find this early edition in such excellent condition.
And it remains a top classic that you must have!
