Set of Champagne Chairs designed by Erwine and Estelle Laverne. USA (1909-2003/1915-1997)
Erwine Laverne studied first in the United States and then in Europe from 1928, in 1934 he met Estelle Lester who would later become his wife.
They started designing wallpapers and fabrics that they sold in their first store in New York and achieved their first successes there with their "Marbelia" wallpaper.
In the early 1960s they started developing the revolutionary "Invisible Series", a furniture line characterized by the use of transparent materials such as acrylic, these Champagne chairs form an iconic highlight in this series alongside other classics such as the Lily and Lotus chairs .
The chairs were produced by the top brand "Formes Nouvelles" in Italy and are marked in the aluminum of the base.
