The Tulip stools were designed by Eero Saarinen for Knoll International in the 1950s.
Saarinen was bothered by the tangle of legs that was always visible under a dining table and decided to design a chair that consisted of 1 whole and only had 1 leg.
It became a very successful design with the general public & is now considered a true icon.
The stools rarely come on the market and are ideal for adding to yourinterior to create extra seating at the dining table or in the living room.
The base is known for its flowing shape & is an example of 1950s modernism.
The chair leg is made of cast aluminum and the cushions still have the original Knoll upholstery.
These stools are in good condition and are upholstered in a beautiful deep blue fabric, they are marked in the aluminum of the base.
