In the world of furniture design, there are rare pieces that exude timeless elegance, achieve a perfect balance between form and function, and leave a lasting impression on generations. The Djinn Chairs designed by the talented French designer Olivier Mourgue for the renowned brand Airborne embody these extraordinary qualities.
Introduced in the early 1960s, the Djinn Chairs brought a breath of fresh air to the design world with their avant-garde aesthetic and innovative construction. Mourgue's design skills and eye for detail were reflected in the flowing lines and organic shapes of the chairs that form a harmonious interplay between comfort and style.
The Djinn chair is part of a series of Djinn furniture designed by the famous French designer Olivier Mourgue. In 1964, the first of the series, a chaise longue, was introduced by Airborne in Merignac Cedex, France. The remainder of the series was released in 1965 and includes the iconic "Low Fireside Chair", a two-seater sofa and a footstool. The set remained in production until 1976.
