The Tulip stools were designed by Eero Saarinen for Knoll International in the 1950s.
Saarinen was bothered by a tangle of legs that were always visible under a dining table and decided to design a chair that consisted of 1 whole and only had 1 leg.
It became a very successful design with the general public & is now considered a true icon.
The pouffes rarely come for sale on the market, and are ideal to place separately in the interior and thus create extra seats at the dining table if necessary.
The base is known for its flowing shape & is an example of modernism from the 1950s.
The chair leg is made of cast aluminum and the cushions still have the original Knoll upholstery.
These stools were rarely used and are in TOP CONDITION, and come from the first owner.
The Knoll poufs date from the 1990s and feature beautiful ivory-colored leather on a white base.
These are also the rotatable versions.
