Introduced in the late 1980s, the BeoSystem 4500 represents an important milestone in the Bang & Olufsen product line-up due to its unique design, outstanding sound quality and innovative technology.
The design of BeoSystem 4500 is minimalistic and futuristic as is typical for Bang & Olufsen products. The system consists of a series of components with a slim, flat design and a combination of aluminium and glass, which gives it a timeless look. The front panels of the components are made of black glass, which, when switched off, provides a seamless, reflective surface. The design is not only beautiful but also functional, with touch-sensitive control panels that provide intuitive and effortless operation.
One of the most striking features of the BeoSystem 4500 is its exceptional sound quality. The components have been carefully designed and tuned to deliver natural and detailed sound reproduction.
The Beosystem 4500 was jointly designed by Jacob Jensen and David Lewis and received the Japanese Good Design Award in 1989 for its elegant and functional design.
