The Saarinen Conference chair is a very comfortable chair, thanks to its curved backrest that flows together to the armrest.
This version has its original black skai upholstery.
In the early 1940s, Eero worked with Charles Ray Eames on veneer bending.
Saarinen got a taste for it and also became interested in bending other materials. From 1946 to 1950 he developed and perfected the Conference armchair, a particularly graceful chair. The seat is made of plywood and the curved backrest of molded polyurethane.
The chair is one of the first productions and produced by none other than De Coene Kortrijk.
The De Coene brothers stood for top quality and pure craftsmanship, which is why they became producers for a very large part of the Koll Collection in the mid-1950s.
Equipped with the original emblems "Knoll Exclusive made in Belgium".
NEW PRICE PER SEAT: 2000€ to 4500€ / per chair.
