The Lara sofa, 1958, was designed by Roberto Pamio, Renato Toso and
Note Massari for Stillwood. Pamio and Toso were close collaborators.
Together with Massari for the sofa project, they seem to be developing ideas led by Pierre Paulin, who creates completely new forms according to the developments in foam technology. Just like Paulin, the Lara sofa is an example of foam techniques that are used structurally.
The two pieces that fit together form an organic puzzle, which leads to a very beautiful geometric shape.
This is an early authentic edition from 1972 with the original upholstery.
