The Goyard brand started in 1853, a year before Louis Vuitton.
The brand is known for its secrecy.

Goyard did not make any self-promotion, no advertising and no e-commerce.
They kept very much in the background and that makes them just as exclusive and sought after.
They refuse interviews and have 3 traditional crafts namely making boxes, making trunks and packing.
After the 2nd world war, queens of Yugoslavia & Greece became customers of the brand.
Later on we also regularly saw Catherine Deneuve & Edith Piaf with a Goyard handbag & suitcase.
To this day, Goyard is a very recognized and luxurious fashion brand.
Just like Louis Vuitton, the old suitcases are very rare and certainly in this condition.
The trunks are also used decoratively in the interiors because it exudes class and prosperity.
