The Welcome Chair designed by Gerrit Schilder as his graduation project in 1993.

Inspired by the beauty of everyday objects, Gerrit Schilder transformed a simple, functional product into a design icon. The combination of a doormat and metal legs makes the Welcome Chair both innovative and accessible.

Only a few copies of the Welcome Chair were produced, making it a special collector's item. One of these chairs is in the permanent collection of the Centraal Museum in Utrecht, where it is cherished as an important piece in Dutch design history.
